Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: July 4, 2026

Welcome to soundmarauder.com. This website, including all content, digital assets, and services offered under the Sound Marauder, Speaker Thief Records, and Tone Vault Studios brands, is owned and operated by Sound Marauder.
By accessing or using this website, purchasing digital goods (beats), or booking audio services (mixing/mastering), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

1. Definitions
“Site” refers to soundmarauder.com.
“We,” “Us,” or “Our” refers to Sound Marauder, Speaker Thief Records, and Tone Vault Studios.
“You” or “Your” refers to the customer, artist, user, or site visitor.
“Products” refers to digital beat tapes, instrumentals, and audio files available for purchase or lease.
“Services” refers to professional audio mixing, mastering, and audio production.

2. Digital Product Purchases & Licensing
Music Licensing: All instrumentals and beats purchased or leased through this Site are subject to the specific terms of their respective license agreements (e.g., Non-Exclusive MP3 Lease, WAV Lease, or Exclusive Rights).
Ownership: Purchasing a beat lease does not transfer copyright ownership to you. Sound Marauder retains full copyright ownership of the underlying musical composition.
Delivery: Digital products are delivered via download links once payment is cleared. It is your responsibility to download and back up your files.

3. Studio Services (Tone Vault Studios)
Client Deliverables: For mixing and mastering services, you are responsible for providing high-quality, clearly labeled audio stems/tracks.
Turnaround & Revisions: Turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on project scope. Each booking includes a specified number of revision rounds. Requests beyond the agreed-upon revisions may incur additional fees.
Storage: We do not act as a permanent storage service. While we maintain project files during production, you are solely responsible for archiving your final delivered masters and stems.

4. Payments, Refunds, and Chargebacks
Pricing: All prices listed on the Site are subject to change without notice.
No Refunds: Due to the digital nature of audio files, sample packs, beat leases, and custom audio services, all sales are final. No refunds will be issued once files have been downloaded or studio work has commenced.
Chargebacks: Unauthorized chargebacks or payment disputes will result in the immediate revocation of any music licenses granted, suspension of services, and potential blacklisting from future transactions.

5. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site—including but not limited to audio previews, website copy, logos, graphics, and underlying code—is the property of Sound Marauder and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. Unauthorized distribution, ripping, or copying of unlicensed audio previews is strictly prohibited.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sound Marauder, Speaker Thief Records, and Tone Vault Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Site, its products, or its services.

7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.

8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Implementation Tips:
Checkout Enforcement: Ensure your WooCommerce settings require users to check a box stating “I agree to the website terms and conditions” before they can complete a purchase. This makes the agreement legally binding for buyers.
Separate License Document: Remember that this page covers website use and store policies. Keep your actual beat licensing agreement (the 50% publishing splits, distribution limits, etc.) as a separate PDF or document delivered alongside the audio files.
